Following the day to day like of these amazing pair of barn owls on the Somerset level, through their highs and lows.  I have been studying this pair for almost 3 years and watched their achievements.  They have been successful in rear 13 owlets in the last 3 seasons.  Please follow their story over the next coming year
Photograph of the male taken in full hover trying to locate his prey
Just look at his amazing wing span when in full flight.  This was taken early one morning out on his hunt for prey
Local female barn owl, spent around two hours watching her hunt around the local area.  Was lucky enough that she came in and perched close to were I was standing

Captured this photo of the female again with her breakfast, still out hunting in the early morning sunshine

Whilst standing in my normal place I observed the female following the river bank towards my position.  I stayed still and saw her dive into the grass.  Managed to capture this lovely photo just as she was transferring the vole from her beak to her claws
